New Machine to Restore

The London work has been completed and sent off by carrier.(Hurrah) I have rearranged 'the skip' and am ready to knuckle down to knitting socks and completing orders. Oh and making stock ready for a load of craft fairs throughout the summer.

Today I went onto Exmoor to collect a sock machine.
The weather was beautiful the best it's been so far this year and they say its going to last 'till Wednesday.
The machine I picked up was an Auto Knitter similar to a Golden Fleece. This one has 3 cylinders a 60 slot, 80 slot and 120 slot. The 120 is rather rare I thought it was going to be the usual 100 slot, but no a 120 with very fine needles, all in very good condition as they has been wrapped in a oily rag.
Once everything is cleaned up this will be a lovely machine. I use a Golden Fleece machine throughout the summer months to demonstrate sock knitting at craft events. They are a lightweight machine and I call mine 'My out and about knitter'

So tomorrow is knitting all day. I need 2 sleeves and bands to finish a jacket for the weekend.
